Bio//
Panayotis Leftheris (1966) studied advanced theory of music in Athens with Joseph Papadatos, Panayotis Adam, Giorgos Zervos and piano with Jannis Jonker. He did further studies in composition with Luis Adriessen, Gilius van Bergeijk, Clarence Barlow, Diderik Wagenaar and Martijn Padding at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
He has composed chamber music as well as songs, electronic sound processing pieces, orchestral projects for amateur musicians and wind band arrangements. Two of his song projects have been recorded and published on CDs using the pen-name "Catelouso", the albums "Sinaxis" (Sirius 2007) and "The Song of the Sirens" (Kytheriosmusic 2009).
He was co-organizer of the Music Workshop of Kythera, where for 3 consecutive summers (2004-2006) remarkable young composers and performers were gathered .
He is currently the artistic director and conductorr of the Marching Band of Kythera (Φιλαρμονική Ποταμού Κυθήρων) and the founder of the cultural and agricultural entrepreneurial activity and music label Kytherios Music.
